CCCA PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the service and tells you about our privacy rights and how the law protects You.
The Chevy Chase Community Association collects the information you provide at time of membership sign-up and renewal and event registrations solely for the purpose of operating the CCCA and delivery of the activities you participate in and electronic communication you receive. To deliver activities you participate in and communications you receive, your personal information may need to be shared with CCCA Officers and volunteers (who all agree to be bound by a code of conduct which includes protection of member information) but only as needed for the delivery of those specific activities or communications.
Activities mean any CCCA organized event including, community activities such as public meetings and events, general membership meetings or any other activity or undertaking which can be reasonably related to a relationship established between or among Association members.
The CCCA may use personal data for the following purposes:
CCCA does not sell or use your data for any other purpose. CCCA does not itself collect or hold payment or credit card or banking information.
Collection: All the data we collect, and hold can be seen in your online profile when you log into the CCCA website (this includes your personal information provided for membership and/or events). Note payment information is not collected or managed by CCCA but by a separate PCI compliant payment provider (Wild Apricot).
Use: Personal data is used solely for the delivery of CCCA activities and communications. Personal data will only be shared outside of CCCA with verified partners where it is specifically required for activities and programs.
Cookies or Browser Cookies. This site does not use web (HTTP) cookies (small pieces of data sent from a website and stored in the user’s web browser while the user is browsing) to gather and store information about your visits to our site.
Right of users: You may update, amend, or delete Your information at any time by signing in to your account. All information you provide as a member of CCCA is accessible in your profile when you log into your account on the website. You can manage all your personal information, or you may contact us to correct or delete any personal information that you have provided.
You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the personal data that we have collected about you.
Photographs: Photographs are taken at CCCA events and may be used on social media and for promotional purposes; if any member would like an image of themselves removed, they may contact the president at president@cccadc.org.
Interaction with children and minors: This website does not offer content to children and minors.
Links to other websites: This website may contain links to other websites, such as government websites and private websites. Once you go to a website via a link provided by our website, you are subject to the privacy and security policies of that website. It is recommended that you read the privacy policy of any website that you visit. We do not control or guarantee the lawfulness, accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of information contained in a website to which we provide a link. Unless otherwise expressly stated, we do not endorse the organizations or individuals maintaining sites to which we provide a link; nor do we endorse any views they express or any products/services they offer.
