In November 2024, voters in Washington, DC, will choose their most immediate elected officials: Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners. ANC seats are unpaid, part-time, nonpartisan, advisory roles, and are the official voice of their neighborhoods. There are 46 Advisory Neighborhood Commissions in the District, made up of 345 commissioners representing single-member districts of about 2,000 people. Join GGWash for a virtual-only training on how to run for ANC, and for a discussion on how to serve if you’re elected. (This is the first of two GGWash trainings for prospective ANC candidates.
