CVS WINDOWS 250th Anniversary Exhibit (2nd Session)

The next sessijon for the CVS WINDOWS 250 display is Sunday, February 23 February at 2:00PM. The program lasts 30 minutes.

WINDOWS 250 celebrates the impending 250^th anniversary of our republic by telling our local story from colonial times to the present, animated by the question: how can we in Chevy Chase redeem the promise of the Declaration of Independence locally, today?

Several Chevy Chase businesses are displaying exhibit posters. A complete collection adorns the Connecticut Avenue-facing windows of CVS at the SW corner of Connecticut and McKinley Street. This is the first of six half-hour presentations of the exhibit at CVS. Six gatherings are scheduled, one per month, focusing on each exhibit panel in turn. We meet outdoors in front of the display in the CVS windows.

WINDOWS 250 is a project of the standing committee of Racial and Social Equity (RASE) of ANC 3/4G, with collaboration of Historic Chevy Chase DC and Chevy Chase Main Street .

Participants in the six half-hour sessions will be welcomed by a RASE representative. A docent will offer brief commentary on one of the CVS panels, leaving time for discussion. Participants will receive information about how to access the whole exhibit online.
